And Now, A Word From Your New Leader
To our beloved readers, followers, and friends:
As we revealed yesterday morning, our founder, fearless leader, and resident Pretty Little Liars enthusiast Andrew Hall is resigning his position as Editor-in-Chief. While I am excited for the opportunity to run a moderately successful sports blog, the excitement doesn’t come close to approaching the feelings of gratitude towards Andrew for building this site over the past five years or the regret that he won’t be as prominent a figure as we at DudeYouCrazy forge ahead.
Moving forward, Daniel, Jason and myself intend to continue to keep you unproductive at your day job with interesting, exciting, and engaging content. While we all have full-time jobs ourselves, we will strive to continue to inform and entertain you to the best of our respective abilities.
With football season fast approaching, we would like to own up and apologize for being inconsistent in our offseason posting. On the plus side, a quiet Georgia offseason is a good Georgia offseason.
Moving forward, we will strive to do the following to make DudeYouCrazy.net your home for Georgia football and everything else SEC (and more):
- Consistent content: We are officially in 2015 season preview mode at DYC. You have already seen a few conference previews, and these will continue. As Andrew and I did last year, we will also be podcasting our individual team previews in the coming weeks. With the return of the season, we will get back to our daily Georgia-centric posts including: Daily Dose of Dawg, opponent previews, Daniel’s excellent Knee Jerk Reactions, and many more things in the works. I may even bite the bullet and finally dive into Georgia recruiting (or find an expert who will).
- Fostering a community: We have had great success with the five-star reviews on the DudeYouPodcast, and we want that interaction to carry over to the main site. Tell us what you love or hate about us in the comments section of any post. Hit me directly at email@example.com, @Chad_Floyd on Twitter, or on the DudeYouCrazy Facebook page for ideas, features or stories you’d like to see on the site. As we are all casual drinkers, we’d love to get together and meet some of our friends in the Atlanta area.
- Exciting insights: Both Daniel and I are working our various connections to add unique content to the site from various individuals. If there’s someone you can put us in touch with, we’d love to have them contribute in some fashion as a guest and friend of the site.
It is with conflicting emotions of gratitude and regret that we wish Andrew and his growing family and career the best, and we look forward to his more sporadic (and thus likely more bizarre) posts in the future. In the meantime, we will strive to fulfill and expand upon the legacy he has created, and continue to make DudeYouCrazy.net your source for Georgia football and the SEC for this season and beyond.
Yours in all things Dawg,
