Gators Likely to Be Crying In Jacksonville Once Again

As a Georgia fan, I’ve certainly suffered a lot of heartache, but I’ve also been able to experience a lot of joy at the expense of the Florida Gators. Here are a few of my favorite moments from this rivalry:

Bulldogs Likely to Get a Few Running Backs Back

Most people believe that Georgia will have Todd Gurley back for the Florida game (announcement could come at any time), but Mark Richt said yesterday that a couple other running backs could be back as well.

Sony Michel, who injured his shoulder against Troy, will have an x-ray early this week, and if everything looks fine and he feels alright, Richt said he’ll be good to go.

Keith Marshall, who practiced last week, seems to be getting better, and I expect him to be ready IF NEEDED.

Get to Know This Year’s Florida Gators

This video sums up the state of the Florida program this year. Not only are they terrible, but their fan base is absolutely embarrassing:

This year’s team is still trying to learn how to catch the ball. Skip to the 2:20 mark:

Honestly, though, as bad as this team is (very very bad), they are still going to give Georgia everything they’ve got, and I fully expect this to be a tight game. As fans, we can take the Gators lightly, but if the players and coaches do the same, it could be a long drive back from Jacksonville.

Here’s what to expect from the Gators.

Two Dawgs are Butkus Semi-Finalists

Ramik Wilson and Jordan Jenkins have been named semi-finalists for the Butkus award (best linebacker in the country). One could easily argue that Leonard Floyd and Amarlo Herrera should be on that list as well. Still, having two on that list is rather impressive as UCLA and Washington are the only other teams to do this.

Story and complete list here.
