**Linebackers (Pt 1/2)**

  • Current commits: 2
  • ☆☆☆: 2

Although Georgia only has two linebackers committed right now, it’s safe to assume that some of the defensive ends they have committed will end up switching over to linebacker and play a role similar to Leonard Floyd or Lorenzo Carter. Names to watch for here could be Natrez Patrick and Chauncey Rivers. Here are the pure linebackers, though, that Georgia has commitments from right now:

Gary McRae (OLB) –  ☆☆☆

I think McRae is one of the most underrated players in this class. He is a freak athlete who plays linebacker, running back, kick returner, and punt returner. I fully expect Dawg fans to look back in a couple of years and just scratch their heads as to how this kid was only a 3-star recruit. I know this may be a lofty comparison, but he reminds me A LOT of Alec Ogletree, and I could see the Georgia coaches moving him to inside linebacker. Don’t believe me? Check out his highlights below.

Junior Highlights:

Juwan Taylor (ILB) –  ☆☆☆

Although not nearly as athletic as McRae, Taylor is still a pretty solid player. I don’t know that he’ll ever be a star for the Bulldogs, but I imagine he’ll push for playing time in a couple of years.
