***If you’d asked me a few weeks ago, I would have told you that I didn’t think Georgia had a shot with the Gator commit. With Florida’s terrible play as of late and the coaching change that is likely coming at the end of the season, however, things are starting to get interesting with Thomas. Sometimes recruits will tell you that it doesn’t really matter how a team does as far as their recruitment goes, but that is not the case with Adonis. A couple days ago he stated that how Florida does and whether or not a coaching change takes place will greatly affect his decision. Georgia finished second to Florida when Thomas committed to the Gators a couple of months ago, and if things keep getting worse in Gainesville and Will Muschamp gets the boot, I’d be willing to bet he becomes a Bulldog.

Will Not Get, But Dawgs Will Be Close:

Chuma Edoga – ☆☆☆☆☆
McEachern (Powder Springs, GA) OT
6-3/276
Antonio Callaway – ☆☆☆
Booker T. Washington (Miami, FL) OT
6-1/185
Micah Abernathy – ☆☆☆☆
Greater Atlanta Christian School (Norcross, GA) CB
6-1/187
***I really thought Micah Abernathy was a lock, but I was dead wrong. Abernathy took an official visit to Georgia for the Tennessee game and loved it. He announced right after he returned from Athens that he’d be committing the next week, and many thought the Bulldogs were in the lead. After a visit to Knoxville and a lot of persuasion from Butch Jones, however, the talented cornerback from Greater Atlanta Christian gave his pledge to the Volunteers. Now, I still expect Jeremy Pruitt and this Georgia coaching staff to go after Abernathy hard, but I don’t see him changing his mind.

  1. Only 3 OL this class? I hope we’re after a bunch in 2016!
