Will Gurley Be the First Running Back Taken in the First Round Since 2012?

If you’ve been watching even a sliver of college football this season, you’d know that Todd Gurley is one one the most special backs to ever play this game. His play is phenomenal, so I’m taking nothing away from him, but another reason Gurley has been such a big deal is because there have been no great (or even really good) running backs in college football for the last few years. That makes Gurley very enticing, and could land him a top-10 spot in the upcoming NFL draft. So, to answer my own question, yes, absolutely, without a doubt.

Here’s what Bleacher Report has to say on the subject.

Five Keys for UGA to Beat Vanderbilt

Here are Gentry Estes’ five keys for Georgia to beat Vanderilt. I agree with all of the points he makes, and if Georgia is able to do those things, they’ll win in blowout fashion. For this Vanderbilt game, however, I really just need one key for this Bulldog team: Be on the field at 4:00 on Saturday. Now, you don’t usually want to say all a team has to do is show up and they’ll win, but that is literally all Georgia has to do. Vanderbilt is already a pitiful team most years, but this is quite honestly one of the worst SEC teams I have ever seen. They got blown out by Temple and Ole Miss and had to have a big comeback to beat UMASS. Georgia will be able to do whatever they want to this Commodore team, but my hope is that Hutson Mason will be able to air it out and get some confidence before going on the road to face two tough teams.

Here are the highlights of the last time Vanderbilt traveled to Athens. **Spoilers** Todd Gurley was a freak as a freshman. Keith Marshall used to be pretty good. Aaron Murray was in a different league than Hutson Mason, and I can’t believe I ever thought for a moment that Mason could fill his shoes.

If you’re in a hurry and just want to watch Todd Gurley’s impressive touchdown run, here’s this:
