SEC Football: The SEC West Will Have A Major Shakeup This Weekend
West Is Best
SEC West is once again a dominant force in the entire country. Between Alabama,
Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss State, Arkansas, LSU, and Texas A&M the west is poised to have another huge year. But can the SEC West have an undefeated champion, or will they all beat each other and we have a two loss representative in Atlanta? I believe this weekend we will see the west picture take more of a shape, and we can see who the studs and duds are going forward.
- 12:00pm Texas A&M at Miss State: I am really looking forward to Dak Prescott vs Kenny Hill. Two electric QBs, and both coming off big wins. I could see this game going Miss State’s way, but honestly when was the last time State lived up to expectations? Should be a shootout in Starkville.
- 3:30pm Alabama at Ole Miss: My Tide roll in to Oxford where Gameday is making its first visit to the state of Mississippi. The Grove will be rocking and it should be a fun game to watch, but can Alabama get the crowd out of the game early and put the Rebels away by the 4th quarter. Once the emotional high has worn off sometime after kickoff, will Ole Miss fold, or rise to the occasion? The Tide will roll in this one after somewhat of a slow start. Roll Tide.
- 7:00pm LSU at Auburn: Will Auburn be able to avenge their only loss last season against a pretty sub par LSU team, or will they finally have a string of bad luck? One can only hope for the string of bad luck, but I do believe LSU has the talent to upset the WaREagLE Tigers. LSU needs consistent QB play going forward or they will find themselves on the outside looking in of the SEC West picture. LSU takes care of Auburn on the plains.
These three games should help iron out what some of these teams are made of, and honestly these are just great football games. Now the SEC East is another sad story, but Kentucky against South Carolina is the most interesting game on that side this weekend. UT and Florida should be a great matchup, but if your TV is not on one of these SEC West games, you are doing Saturday wrong.
