Recruiting Quick Hits

Big Names In Athens On Saturday

There will be some big time players on campus to watch the Dawgs take on the Volunteers on Saturday. One of those, Darius Slayton, could pull the trigger and commit to the Dawgs any day now, so this could be a big visit to watch. Also on the list is Georgia commit, Terry Godwin. Godwin, the #7 player in the country, according to Rivals.com, has been committed to the Red & Black for a while, but has been visiting Alabama and Auburn frequently. I still think he’ll end up signing with Georgia, but I have to admit that this one is getting a little scary. Another target that will be between the Hedges this weekend is 2015 defensive end, D’Andre Walker. I think Walker is a Dawg lean, and it will be interesting to see if this visit speeds up his process.

Jaquelle Green (S) *2016 – ☆☆

Georgia has offered Jaquelle Green, a very talented safety out of Biloxi, Mississippi. This kid is an absolute stud, and I think he’ll only move up in recruiting rankings. Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss are all right in the mix at this point. He says that no one has really stood out, though, and that he’ll give everyone a fair chance. This would be a big time get for Jeremy Pruitt and would help the Bulldogs out in an area of need.

Check out Jaquelle’s sophomore highlights here.

Mykelle McDaniel (DE) *2016 – ☆☆☆

Mykelle McDaniel, a very talented defensive end out of Grayson High School has the Dawgs at the top of his list. He states that he’s already thought about committing to UGA, but he just wants to be absolutely sure. He does say, however, that he’d like to commit before the end of his junior season, and I would be stunned if he didn’t go with the in-state team.

Check out his sophomore highlights here.
