Mark Richt Would Not Coach My Son, SEC East Is Nothing Special, And More
Who Would Your Son Play For?
If I am lucky enough to have a son one day I would personally love for him to play for one of the greatest coaches of all time, Nick Saban. Whether you like him, or hate him, you have to respect the greatness that he encompasses and the way he runs a program. This past week the coaches were polled as to who they would want their kids to play for, Richt and Bob Stoops were atop the list. First off, no amount of money on earth would allow me to send my son to Norman, Oklahoma and play for that clown. Next, I know Richt is an amazing person and leader of men, but truthfully I want my son to win a title while also becoming a better person in the process. (pun intended) Check out the full list here.
Stop Blaming Bobo
Mike Bobo takes more heat on twitter than anyone else in the SEC when their teams win. Listen I am with you, that was a bad play call on the play-action on 1st and goal. But the team scored 35 points! Take your issue up with the defense for not being able to stop Dylan Thompson from picking them apart, or Mike Davis for running all of them. It is time to give Bobo a break, the team is still averaging 40 points a game. Check out some of the ridiculous heat he is taking here.
West > East
The SEC has 5 teams in the top 10 of the AP poll. Actually let me rephrase that, the SEC WEST has 5 teams in the top 10 of the AP poll. Listen I am all for conference pride, but the SEC East has been dragging behind the west ever since Tebow graduated. Texas A&M a team that might finish 3rd or 4th in the West absolutely embarrassed South Carolina in the terrifying atmosphere of Columbia. Step your game up over their on the East and stop riding the coat tails of the SEC West. Full AP poll here.
