Georgia vs. South Carolina: Under-the-Radar Special Teams Threat Could Change Game

We’re using historical footage from great Georgia/South Carolina games of the past to build a gameplan for how the Bulldogs can defeat the Gamecocks.

Todd Gurley’s 100-yard kickoff return stole the show in Georgia’s season-opening win over the Clemson Tigers, but the punt return game also looked much improved relative to recent history.  Reggie Davis fielded seven punts and accounted for 37 return yards while Isaiah McKenzie returned one punt for 24 yards.  This facet of the game had been non-existent for the past few years.

Don’t be surprised to see one of these elusive threats break a long punt return at some point this season, and it just might come against a South Carolina team that struggles with open-field tackling.

That’s all I got/
