Recruiting Quick Hits

Big Time Targets Attending UGA vs. USC

The visitor list for the UGA/USC list is quite impressive and includes 2015 Georgia targets Roquan Smith and Darius Slayton, as well as 2016 targets Mecole Hardman, Isaac Nauta, and Chauncey Manac. Many people, including myself, believe that Roquan and Darius are very close to committing to the Dawgs. This could be a huge game when it comes to landing those two players as a big win on the road against a rival would certainly impress them. This game could also be very important with Nauta and Manac. Both players are strongly considering Georgia and Carolina and a win for the Bulldogs could very well put them a little bit ahead of the Gamecocks.

Rusty Mansell of 247 Sports has more on this here.

Highlights of Star UGA Commits and Targets

Trent Smallwood of Bulldawg Illustrated always does an amazing job following recruiting, and if you don’t already check out his work on BI, you are certainly missing out. Yesterday, he posted the week two highlight videos of Jacob Eason (2016 UGA QB Commit), Darius Slayton (2015 UGA ATH Target), Elijah Holyfield (2016 UGA RB Target), and Jamyest Williams (2017 UGA ATH Target).

Eason continued to blow me away. I just can’t believe how polished he is and how big his arm is for somebody just starting their junior year of high school. Holyfield also looked impressive as he scored 7 touchdowns this last week. He is an absolute must get for this 2016 recruiting class.

All the highlights can be viewed here.

Alabama Commit to Visit UGA

Four star safety, Ronnie Harrison, from Tallahassee, Florida, says that he plans on visiting Athens to catch a UGA game. I don’t think UGA really has a chance with him, but if he enjoys his visit, he might be one to keep your eye on. Story here.
