Recruiting Quick Hits

Tarvarus McFadden (DB) ☆☆☆☆☆

UGA is starting to gain a ton of momentum when it comes to the recruitment of 5-star defensive back Tarvarus McFadden. The 247 Crystal Ball is quickly changing for him as more and more experts are predicting Athens to be his future home. This last week, Tarvarus tweeted that he would be announcing his commitment on October 31st, his high school senior night. As I’ve said in my previous posts, I think McFadden is a sure lock for the Bulldogs, and him setting his commitment date right after he returned from his visit to Georgia certainly looks good. His recent Twitter tweets and retweets have been interesting as well:

McFadden’s leaders are Georgia, Florida State, and LSU.

Radi Nabulsi of Rivals.com was able to get the inside scoop on McFadden. Interview with Adam Krohn here.

Rashad Roundtree (S)  ☆☆☆☆☆

Roundtree has spoken highly of the in-state Bulldogs for a while now, and it seems that his commitment to the Red & Black will be coming any day now. Yesterday, Rashad tweeted this out:

Rashad has received a TON of attention from the Georgia coaching staff during his recruitment, and has certainly been one of their main targets. I’ve thought for a while now that he’s been a Georgia lean, and 97% of the 247 Sports Crystal Ball voters seem to agree with me.

Roundtree’s leaders are Georgia, Ohio State, and Duke.

Elijah Holyfield (RB) *2016 ☆☆☆☆

UGA finally offered the stud running back from Woodward Academy (Atlanta, Ga) and son of professional boxer, Elijah Holyfield, today. Holyfield was in Athens for the Clemson game and had a great time. He loved what he saw out of Todd Gurley and said that he could definitely see himself in Mike Bobo’s offense. After receiving the offer from Georgia, Holyfield stated that the Bulldogs will definitely be in it at the end when he makes his decision. I really believe that this was the offer he has been waiting on, and I expect that you’ll start seeing a lot more people predicting him to UGA.
