Georgia Football: Defensive Key to Defeating South Carolina Next Week

We’re using historical footage from great Georgia/South Carolina games of the past to build a gameplan for how the Bulldogs can defeat the Gamecocks.

South Carolina relied heavily on the pass last week after falling behind Texas A&M.  And guess what: The Gamecocks can toss the pigskin as well.  Dylan Thompson’s completion percentage (50%) was pedestrian, but his overall output was not.  The new starter (but longtime backup) threw for 366 yards and four touchdowns with one interception against the Aggies.

Lost this week in the good Bulldog feelings is the fact that Georgia still has a young and inexperienced defensive backfield.  That secondary is still the primary concern for this team as a whole.  Fortunately, Georgia’s front-7 is still supremely talented and hungry.

Like the play above, Georgia must swarm Dylan Thompson next week.

That’s all I got/
