Previewing Alabama: Part II – Panel Discussion

DudeYouCrazy contributors weigh in on the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Mike Lynch

Regular Season Prediction: 12 Wins

Alabama is ranked #1 in the pre-season polls for a reason. The Offense is again loaded, led by A.J McCarron at the QB coming off of one of his best years and again he has tons of weapons to use. T.J Yeldon is due for an even better year as Bama’s featured back in a loaded backfield.  The defense again should be one of the league’s best and anything but an SEC Title and a trip to the BCS Championship game would be a disappointment for this club.

Cody Trimble

Regular Season Prediction: 11 Wins

The Tide is great again.  When they roll into College Station they are surprised by the explosive offense of A&M and lose in a close battle.  McCarron throws a few more picks this year. Yeldon turns into one of the best running backs in the country and the defense stays on top as an elite defense.

Regular Season Prediction: 11 Wins

Probably at some point a surprise loss, much like last year with A&M. Not much changing for these guys although I don’t see another Crystal Football being added to their case at the end of the season.

Regular Season Prediction: 11 Wins

Rammer jammer yellowhammer. They’re going to spend September rebuilding their O-line, but a laundry list of future first-rounders steps in for guys like Chance Warmack, D.J. Fluker, Dee Milliner, Eddie Lacy, et al.  They still have to be the favorites to take home a championship until knocked off, and I’m not gonna be the one to pick against them.

Andrew Hall

Regular Season Wins: 12 Wins

I don’t see A&M maintaining last year’s level of success (some losses on the OL and Johnny Manziel will regress), and thereofre I don’t see the Aggies upsetting the Tide.  The only potential upset I see is LSU and I don’t think that happens at the end of the day.  For my full preview go here.
