I was born and partially raised in East Tennessee before moving further south to greener pastures. Despite my geographical proximation to the University of Tennessee during those formative years I was taught at an early age to detest all things orange. That passion remains as I hate UT, Florida, Auburn, Clemson and road signs.
I was a two-sport star in high school starring in garbage minutes for the varsity basketball team at John McEachern High School in Powder Springs, GA and captaining the varsity math team. After high school I attended the University of Georgia where I studied meal plans and social events while balancing a busy academic calendar.
In the real world I work for Narwhal Capital Management where I hang out with clients, do a little work and generally direct marketing.
A Georgia season ticket holder, I can be found with WifeYouCrazy in the cozy confines of Sanford Stadium on Saturdays in the Fall and browsing Home Depot or watching The Bachelor during the offseason.
I started writing about football during college and picked it up again after I got married. Initially I thought writing about college football would keep me from driving my wife crazy(er) with my incessant talking about the sport. The plan has backfired. Now I write about it, tell her what I wrote and then make her read it. She’s a saint.
I’m a member of the Football Writers Association of America and I’ve provided mediocre college football coverage for ChuckOliver.net, Collegefootballcafeteria.com, Bleacher Report and HolyTurf.com.

I’ve been reading your blog since last season, but this is the first time I’ve ventured to the “about” page. How did I not know you went to Mceachern? My wife and I are class of ’97, and I just recently moved back to Powder Springs, less than 2 miles from the school. I just wanted to say great work on the blog, and keep it up. And of course, Go Dawgs!
That’s awesome, Go Indians! Thanks for reading!
I’ve been following your blog for quite a while now, and have always appreciated it. To show that, I’ve nominated you for the Liebster Award!
