Georgia Football: J.J. Green and Brendan Douglas Step Up
If there is cause for optimism following a devastating game in Knoxville, it lies squarely on the shoulders of J.J. Green and Brendan Douglas.
J.J. Green’s 17 carry, 129 yard effort was impressive, but it was not necessarily an isolated incident. He’s played very well this season – even in a limited role.
To date, Green has registered 22 carries for 194 yards (8.8 yards per carry) and one touchdown. He is ninth in the nation among players with 20+ carries in yards per attempt.
Brendan Douglas hasn’t been too shabby either. On 22 touches (receiving and rushing) he’s accounted for 96 total yards and a touchdown.
These two guys were crucial in Georgia’s win over Tennessee. Here are more thoughts along those lines.
